What first inspired you to become a DJ?
Massive passion for music, always been a massive part of my life since I was a little girl. Always had headphones as a kid. Everywhere I went.

Who were your biggest musical influences growing up?
Michael Jackson, Elvis. All the classic pop stars.  When I hit 16 house music kicked in been a lover since.

How did you break into the scene?
Started off on a radio station ‘0151 Dance Radio’ in 2022 then got asked to do event with some of Liverpool’s amazing local Dj’s.

What’s the story behind your DJ name or brand identity?
Well, my name is jo haha and everywhere I go on the Dj scene I get referred to JoJo.  My previous Dj name was Jo Covo but JoJo sticks better… And I like it haha.

What’s one track you never get tired of playing?
Alison Limerick – Where love lives

What’s the most memorable gig you’ve ever played?
Reminisce Festival in Mode tent 2024, was an amazing experience an got to meet more Dj’s.

Do you produce your own tracks or remixes?
Not yet, but that is my goal is to get into production.

How do you keep your sets fresh and avoid repetition?
Always throw a song of my choice that I enjoy but isn’t out there yet, so new production off djs or remixes that make me feel alive.

What advice would you give to up-and-coming DJs?
Be yourself, find your own style of creativity & mixing.

First record you ever bought?
Alena – Turn It Around.

Guilty pleasure track you secretly love?
Cry to me (Solomon Burke) remix

If you weren’t DJing, what would you be doing?
Manufacturing, production. Management

Who’s your dream artist to share a stage with?
I have a very long list haha.
